Bitcoin NFTs Struggles To Maintain Its Position Despite Low Sales

The NFT sales over the past week witnessed a decline, as they went down by around 19% at the time of writing. 

Over the past seven days, the NFT sales amounted to more than $230.486 million, and Ethereum still dominates the sales again after weeks for Bitcoin, with over $74.529 million, which is around 30% down from the previous week. Out of the top 20 blockchains, Ethereum accounted for around 32% of the total sales. 

Meanwhile, Bitcoin has been in second place in terms of NFT sales for weeks, accounting for nearly 25% of the total sales ($58.568 million), a 3.39% incline from the previous week. 

Over the past week, most of the blockchains, such as Polygon and Avalanche, saw a decline in sales. Blockchains of Solana, Polygon, Avalanche, Immutable X, Mythos Chain, and BNB Chain followed Bitcoin regarding the total sales over the past week, respectively. 

However, Half of the NFT collections witnessed an increase in their sales, topped by $GBTS BRC-20 NFTs and Froganas, which went up by 576.64% and 253.82%, respectively. Meanwhile, NFTs like CryptoUndeads of Solana witnessed a decline over the past week by 71%.

Regarding the NFT price floor, Bored Ape Yacht Club is still in second place in terms of the highest floor value at 24.9 ETH, following CryptoPunks, whose floor was just 61.99 ETH, according to data from nftpricefloor.com.

Last week, The most expensive NFT was CryptoPunk 6505, which sold for around $459K. The following top expensive NFTs sold over the past seven days were sold from $147K and downwards. 

As for the leading NFT marketplaces in the past week, Blur led them, followed by OKX. Blur’s sales over the past week reached $150.3 million, while the sales on OKX were $36.18 million (-24.83%).
