The Future Health Summit, set to be held on February 2 as a part of the Arab Health will tackle the role which could be played by the metaverse in healthcare.
Arab Health exhibition will be held from January 30 to February 2 at the Dubai World Trade Centre with the participation of 3,000 exhibitors from 70 countries, in addition to government officials and CEOs.
According to a research report by Market Research Future (MRFR), titled Healthcare in Metaverse Market, the healthcare metaverse market is expected to go up at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 48.3% by 2030, with an expected value worth $5.37 billion.
The exhibition will witness the debut of the Intelligent Health Pavilion and the return of the Future Health Summit in partnership with the Intelligent Health Association.
The summit will tackle incredible opportunities for the healthcare sector in the metaverse. It will shed light on the metaverse advantages in surgical operations, mental health treatment, and training.
In this regard, Exhibition Director for Informa Markets Ross Williams said over the past years, the healthcare industry witnessed astonishing changes, expecting utilizing the metaverse will revolutionize healthcare by benefitting from technologies of artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) to improve patient health condition.
Williams added that the metaverse will open new channels of treatment along with lowering its costs. He added: “The Future Health Summit is dedicated to trailblazers. From AI and robotics to the role of the Metaverse, the healthcare industry is continuously evolving. A result of cutting-edge technology combined with innovative leaders committed to improving patient outcomes.”
The last few weeks have witnessed momentum in metaverse-related activity in Dubai. The emirate hosted the Dubai Metaverse Assembly, the World Metaverse Show, and GITEX Global, with new announcements by companies to enter the metaverse.
Over the past few years, the UAE, especially Dubai, has positioned itself as one of the world’s prominent hubs for metaverse and blockchain technologies.
The Emirati government, in July, launched the Dubai Metaverse Strategy, which aims to contribute $4 billion to the emirate’s economy. The strategy targets increasing the number of blockchain and metaverse companies fivefold within five years as well as offering 40,000 virtual jobs.
