Retail giant Amazon collaborated with Mojo Melee, an NFT game built on the Ethereum scaling network Polygon, to give away exclusive NFT rewards to its Prime subscribers.



Amazon Prime subscribers can now access a free package through the Amazon Prime Gaming portal. To get this offer, simply create a new player account for Mojo Melee. The package comes with in-game currency and an NFT. The NFT is for the champion character Gwyn Rockhopper, while the 885 Ore is a non-crypto in-game currency.



Mystic Moose, the developer behind Mojo Melee, has announced that players can now purchase the game&#8217;s character as an NFT right from the start. Normally, players are required to reach a certain character level before they can mint champions as NFTs through the in-game progression system. This special offer is a part of Mojo Melee&#8217;s partnership with Amazon.



Mojo Melee presents a fresh approach to the trending &#8220;auto battler&#8221; game category, incorporating elements from chess and real-time strategy games to deliver a fun and laid-back gaming adventure. It is available to play via web browsers or an Android app, providing convenient accessibility for players to fully engage in its exciting gaming universe.



The purpose of this ongoing initiative is to not only recognize and appreciate loyal Prime members but also to encourage more involvement and enthusiasm within the Mojo Melee gaming community.



Amazon Prime Gaming has previously collaborated with games to provide free NFTs for its subscribers. One such game is Blankos Block Party by Mythical Games, which offers a free avatar and accessory promotion through Prime Gaming. This offer is still available for PC and Mac players. Amazon Gives Away NFTs for Moji Melee Game

E-commerce tycoon Amazon is exploring opportunities to enter the Web3 world by launching an NFT initiative this spring.



According to <a href="https://blockworks.co/news/amazon-nft-marketplace-web3" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Blockworks website</a>, Amazon is knocking doors of Web 3 companies to build blockchain-based games and NFT applications. Among these companies are layer-1 blockchains, blockchain-based gaming startups and developers and digital asset exchanges, two sources familiar with the matter said.



A source told the website that NFTs and blockchain-based gaming would likely be run on the Amazon site rather than the Amazon Web Services (AWS), adding April is expected to be the time in which Amazon will announce its NFT initiative for the public.



&#8220;We knew it was possible. But now it seems like it’s really happening. That’s going to affect the existing players in the space — if they execute and do this right and are smart about it,&#8221; the source went on saying.



The source predicted that Amazon&#8217;s release of NFTs will cause a big buzz in the NFT marketplaces due to its number of consumers.



Earlier, CEO of Amazon Andy Jassy has said his company is open to curating and selling its own NFTs and the potential of adopting various cryptocurrencies. Also, Amazon partnered with Avalanche blockchain developer Ava Labs to facilitate a crypto infrastructure for the e-commerce platform, AWS, to allow users to engage with its specialized ‘Subnets’ technology.
