Decentraland, the well-known metaverse platform, announced the launch of a new renting system in the virtual space, allowing the owners of the virtual lands to become landlords.

Whether the land was a parcel, estate, or both, Decentraland considers land owners as accounts or wallet addresses that own the smart contract for the land they want to rent.



Decentraland explained how the rental process will be conducted on its website. After defining the price per day, the tenants should determine the period that ranges from seven to 365 days. All the virtual rentals will be done in Mana, the native token of Decentraland. It should be paid upfront and in total for that rent.



Landlords on Decentraland are not allowed to sell the land or receive any purchasing bids until after the rental contract period ends. Owners can edit the rental details for their virtual property with transaction implications without a transaction fee for listing the rental. They can also claim their virtual properties back from the tenants by seeking the Operator’s permission.

Decentraland Allows Renting Virtual Properties on Metaverse

The Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW) is coming back with a new edition in 2023 on Decentraland, the world&#8217;s largest user-owned and operated virtual social world.



The new edition themed &#8220;Future Heritage&#8221; will be held in the Luxury Fashion District of Decentraland from March 28 to 31. MVFW23 will feature the Spring/Summer Fashion season on virtual catwalks. In addition, a special experience developed by Miami Fashion Week will take part in the event.



Curated by NFT marketplace UNXD, MVFW23 participants will be selected by an advisory team formed by Decentraland. The participating brands will be announced in January.

Saudi business tycoon Prince Alwaleed bin Talal debuted on Wednesday a virtual charity center in the metaverse.



The virtual charity center is being set up by Alwaleed Philanthropies in cooperation with the University of Edinburgh, the Oxford University Museums, Pergamon Museum Berlin, the crafts non-governmental organization Turquoise Mountain Foundation, and Darzah, a Palestinian crafts designer.



The captivating experience, launched on the <a href="https://upyo.com/en/news/tags/decentraland">Decentraland</a>, consists of virtual exhibitions of historical Arab science, art, and culture. One exhibition will showcase traditional handmade Saudi crafts from Mizwada, the Alwaleed Philanthropies brand, for the guests.



Another exhibition will focus on the Astrolabe, an ancient astronomical Islamic instrument that was a handheld model of the universe. While another room will display the Compendium of Chronicles of the Persian statesman and historian Rashīd al-Dīn.



Darzah designer will also showcase traditional Palestinian handmade products in addition to a room that will show the beauty of the interior of a Syrian mansion in the 17th century.



Alwaleed bin Talal&#8217;s charitable organization comes in conjunction with the International Day of Tolerance, according to Al Arabiya.
