Thyssen National Museum in Spain teamed up with the Olyverse platform to mint its own <a href="https://upyo.com/en/news/nft" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NFTs</a> to be a unique collection featuring masterpieces of Van Gogh.



Thyssen and Olyverse will turn Van Gogh&#8217;s artworks into digital assets to be displayed in the metaverse. Each NFT will represent a stunning original artwork for Van Gogh. The collection is considered limited as only 100 NFTs will be available for purchase on Telefónica’s <a href="https://upyo.com/en/news/tags/nft-marketplace">NFT marketplace news</a>.



This will make Thyssen the first national museum in Spain to do a such mint, especially for a well-known artist like Van Gogh.



The owners of Van Gogh NFTs will have the chance to showcase their digital artworks on blockchain-powered screens through collaboration with tech giant LG.



In this regard, CEO of Olyverse Carlos Grenoir said: &#8220;By democratizing access to art through NFTs, we hope to enable individuals to experience Van Gogh&#8217;s works in a new way. Our metaverse serves as a platform to exhibit and explore these digital masterpieces, offering an immersive and enriching experience that transcends traditional museum boundaries.&#8221;



The Olyverse Platform is a decentralized stars club, which aims to bridge the gap between celebrities and their fans in an innovative way using Web3-based technologies, such as NFTs. Through these NFTs, the fans can interact with stars through different activities and take part in experiences in the metaverse.



The platform also hosts other celebrities like Turkish actor Kerem Bürsin, former FC Barcelona defender Carles Puyol, and Spanish model and actress Elsa Pataky.



In March, the Metaverse Arts Museum, the first NFT Arts Museum in the world, announced its official launch on The Sandbox to showcase immersive NFTs and gather creators, artists, collectors, and the blockchain community with the goal to offer support to innovative projects and NFT artists from the MENA region.

The NFT sales over the past week witnessed a decline compared to the week prior, as they went down by around 10% at the time of writing. 



Over the past seven days, the NFT sales amounted to more than $143.746 million, over $87.860 million of which were from the Ethereum blockchain, around a 42% increase from the previous week. Out of the top 20 blockchains, Ethereum had the lion’s share of the NFT sales seven days ago, accounting for more than 61% of the total sales. 



While Bitcoin is still in second place in terms of NFT sales for weeks, accounting for over 15% of the total sales ($21.721 million), a 36.94% incline from the previous week. 



Most of the blockchains over the past week saw a decrease in sales except Ethereum and Cardano. Blockchains of Solana, Polygon, Immutable X, BNB Chain, Cardano, and Mythos Chain followed Bitcoin regarding the total sales over the past week, respectively.&nbsp;



Most of the NFT collections witnessed a decrease in their sales, topped by Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Azuki, and Uncateogratized Ordinals, which declined by more than 65%. While NFT collections of CryptoPunks and Sorare witnessed growth over the past week.&nbsp;



Regarding the NFT price floor, Bored Ape Yacht Club is still in second place in terms of the highest floor value at $64,026, following CryptoPunks, whose floor was just $96,376, according to data from nftpricefloor.com.



The most expensive NFT sold last week was $FRAM BRC-20 NFTs, which sold for more than $1.68 million. The following top expensive NFTs sold over the past seven days were sold from $1.2 million and downwards.&nbsp;



As for the NFT marketplaces, Blur leads the NFT marketplaces followed by OpenSea. Blur’s sales over the past week reached $77.56 million, while the sales on OpenSea were $32.24 million (-29.2%).&nbsp;

NFT Sales Over Past Week Surpassed 143 Mln Dollars

The United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York charged a Moroccan man with a remarkable digital assets robbery.



Moroccan national Soufiane Oulahyane managed to steal crypto and NFTs worth $450,000 after developing a deceptive replica of the OpenSea marketplace, according to CryptoPolitan. Oulahyane is accused of creating a fraudulent website, which was a replica of the original of OpenSea marketplace.



Oulahyane used paid advertisements to deceive his victims by offering their login credentials to him, which enabled him to gain unauthorized access to their accounts. Unsuspecting users, who are unaware of the trick, will log in to the fake OpenSea using their login credentials while they did not that they were giving sensitive information to Oulahyane’s controlled account.



It is believed that Oulahyane started his scheme in September 2021 and among the stolen assets was a Bored Ape NFT, previously purchased by the victim for an estimated value of 49 ETH.



Now, he faces charges of wire fraud, aggravated identity theft, unauthorized access device usage, and, a set of charges which could result in a long prison sentence if he is found guilty. It is worth noting that Oulahyane is currently in custody in Morocco, awaiting potential extradition to the United States to face trial.



A recent report found that half of the stolen NFTs are being sold within 160 minutes on different NFT marketplaces such as Blur and OpenSea.



PeckShield, a leading blockchain security company, issued a report on the stolen NFTs in June this year, clarifying the value stolen in the month, how long it takes for stolen NFTs to be sold, and which <a href="https://upyo.com/en/news/tags/nft-marketplace">NFT marketplaces</a> are used to sell the stolen assets.



In June, NFTs worth about $2.27 were stolen, with a decline of 23% compared to the previous month ($2.95 million). Half of the stolen NFTs were sold within 2.4 hrs on marketplaces like Blur and OpenSea.

Moroccan Man Accused of Stealing NFTs, Crypto Worth $450,000

The South Korean tech giant LG Electronics presented the first-ever wireless LG Smart TV with a built-in NFT marketplace, <a href="https://dailycoin.com/lg-presents-first-ever-wireless-tv-with-built-in-nft-marketplace-at-ces/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">according to Daily Coin</a>.



The new TV, which was launched at the Consumer Electronics Show 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada, represents a technological revolution for Web3 enthusiasts.&nbsp;



LG Electronics integrated its Blade Wallet service to allow NFT fans to purchase, sell and trade NFTs on LG Art Lab. LG Art Lab is a fully interactive digital marketplace, launched in September 2022, that allows users to trade high-quality digital artwork and enjoy them on LG’s Smart TVs in partnership with Hedera blockchain.&nbsp;



Moreover, the TV maker will let the smart TV users enjoy a virtual experience on Sansar, a metaverse social platform, which is based on the User Generated Market (UGM). Web3 lovers can buy tickets to concerts, participate in exclusive airdrops, buy new virtual gear for their avatars, and more on the UGM-based metaverse platform.&nbsp;



LG partnered with Oorbit, a cloud Web3 service, to bring two integrated virtual worlds to LG TVs through the PIXELYNX metaverse platform, a new experience, which allows the users to transfer their digital identity from one virtual world to another.&nbsp;



According to NFT Lately, Oorbit will bring virtual concerts on ELYNXIR from&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://pixelynx.io/" rel="noreferrer noopener">PIXELYNX</a>&nbsp;and AI-generated multiplayer games in Auxuman’s Auxworld.

LG Reveals First-Ever Wireless TV with Built-in NFT Marketplace

Mattel, an American toy and entertainment giant, announced the launch of its NFT marketplace on Mattel Creations in a move to expand its base of customers.



The first collection, Series 4 of the Hot Wheels NFT Garage, is set to be launched on December 15. The Mattel Creations <a href="https://upyo.com/en/news/tags/nft-marketplace">NFT marketplace</a> is built on the Flow blockchain, a fast and low-cost transactions blockchain designed for gaming purposes. The same team behind Hot Wheels die-cast cars developed this digital collection.



According to a press release issued by the global company, Mattel&#8217;s NFT marketplace is made for mainstream consumers. In addition, it does not oblige users to own cryptocurrencies to purchase NFTs. By the beginning of 2023, the new marketplace will integrate a peer-to-peer trading platform, allowing digital collectors to trade their NFTs between them.



The Series 4 collection includes 60 cars from Chevrolet, Cadillac, Aston Martin, McLaren, Honda, Oldsmobile, and Pagani, in addition to many Hot Wheels originals. The vehicles are sold in packs at $25 for each as each customer can purchase eight packs per transaction. Each pack comprises seven Hot Wheels NFTs: four basics, two epics, and one guaranteed rare car.



In this regard, Vice President at Mattel Future Lab Ron Friedman said the new marketplace gives the opportunity to turn Mattel intellectual property into digital art, looking forward to launching more digital collectibles inspired by some of the world’s popular Mattel brands.



&#8220;Mattel is pioneering the future of play, constantly deepening our connection with fans of all ages in both the physical and digital worlds,&#8221; Friedman added.



Mattel was the first toy company that launched NFTs. It collaborated with the fashion house Balmain in launching Barbie&#8217;s collection of digital collectibles. Also, previous releases of the Hot Wheels NFT Garage sold out at once.

Mattel Launches NFT Marketplace

The all-time sales of NFTs on the top five marketplaces exceeded the $40 billion mark since the beginning of the year, hitting about $41.3 by the end of October.



According to figures released by Dappradar, Opensea was the biggest NFT marketplace in the terms of sales, recording $32.78 billion, dominating almost 79% of the whole sales of the top five marketplaces.



<a href="https://news.bitcoin.com/the-top-5-nft-marketplaces-surpass-40-billion-in-all-time-sales/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bitcoin News</a> reported that Opensea&#8217;s sales were conducted by 2.35 million traders with an average price paid for an NFT of around $352.



Opensea was followed by the Axie Marketplace, whose volume of sales reached $4.26 billion. The average price paid for an NFT via Axie Marketplace is $171.32 as the marketplace saw 2.17 million traders.



CryptoPunks came in third place with all-time sales amounting to $2.96 billion settled by only 7,162 traders. While sales on Solana&#8217;s Magic Eden recorded $1.83 billion, making it in fourth place with an average price for an NFT of $124.09. However, it witnessed a high number of traders compared to CryptoPunks, reaching 1.214 million.



The fifth place was occupied by the NFT marketplace Looksrare as the volume of sales hit $1.62 billion. The average price paid for an NFT was $6.59K. Only 108,005 traders settled via Looksrare.



X2Y2 marketplace, for its part, is on its way toward the $1 billion milestone by achieving $895.1 million in terms of sales.



The global NFT sales in October recorded $428.8 million with a decline of 20.61% compared to September. October witnessed 4,366,220 NFT transactions among 510,859 buyers, <a href="https://cryptoslam.io/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">according to Cryptoslam io platform</a>.

Sales of Top 5 NFT Marketplaces Surpass 40 Dollars Bln in October

UPYO, the largest NFT marketplace in the Middle East, announced that it would hold its second expo (UPYO Art Gallery) on October 13 on the metaverse.



This expo will be different from its previous one as there will be more places for showcasing the NFTs as a part of UPYO&#8217;s keenness to give the opportunity for the Arab artists to take part in the expo with their artworks in the virtual world.



The expo will include 55 booths to display the artworks of celebrities and innovators, 28 areas of which had been reserved, while 27 others are remaining.



The division of this gallery will be different from the first one. A room will be allocated for displaying 15 booths to display rare and distinguished Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domains that will include Arab names of ENS domains.



The remaining rooms will be for showcasing the most famous NFTs of artists from the Middle East, as 40 booths are available for displaying NFTs.
